Phil Bredesen for U.S. Senate in 2012?

Let's see: with six months to travel after leaving office as Governor, that puts him back in town in July 2011. Yep, just in time to formally announce a run for U.S. Senate in 2012.

“I really like the public sector, and if there are some opportunities there, I’d be open,” [Gov. Bredesen] said.

It could happen. Then again, he could decide to wait until 2014, which some think might involve an open seat.

I dont believe he will ever do that. Ask people who know him personally and most will say the same thing. I could see him trying to buy the Titans once Bud Adams kicks the bucket. Btw since we are on predictions and my black helicopter theory about Mike McWherter and Roy from last fall proved to be true. I'll lay two more on you. I think Steve Cohen will be the nominee against Corker in '12 and if it isnt Cohen. Then Shelby County Mayor Joe Ford will probably challenge Cohen in the '12 Congressional primary.
